Our History

The Life Celebration Center, once a family home, was built in the early 1950′s. The structure was a masterpiece of its time, taking over 5 years to build. The walls and floors are made of pure concrete and Bill Fiorella, the home’s owner, raised his beloved family here. In 1965, Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral made the neighboring house a part of its own home. Many families have since gathered to remember loved ones and celebrate life in the home, which has served as a family lounge for decades. Countless stories have been told around the tables and many laughs have been shared here. From the home’s creation, it has been a place to grow, learn and celebrate. In 2014, Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home felt it only fitting to extend the place to a community we love so much, allowing others the opportunity to come share and create lasting memories at what has always been a Life Celebration Center. Serving as a happy, hopeful and joyful place, we are honored to be able to share in these moments with you.
